Knights at play

Castle sets have been part of the LEGO® line-up for decades, reinvented many times over. The Kingdoms range, which ran around 2010 to 2012, set the Lion Knights against the Dragon Knights. Most of its sets showed fortresses and battles, but Kingdoms Joust takes a different approach. Here the rivals meet in a tournament, a contest of skill with rules and an audience. That gives your castle collection a lighter, more festive scene alongside the usual sieges.

Stone, timber and heraldry

Light bluish grey leads the colour list, followed by reddish brown, dark bluish grey and red. It is the familiar castle palette: grey for stonework, brown for wood and red for banners and heraldry. With 257 unique parts among 1,575 pieces, many elements repeat, which usually signals fences, stands or walls built from similar components.
