Description

Recreating the MCL36

The set is based on the McLaren MCL36 from the 2022 Formula 1 season, finished in the team's papaya orange livery with blue and black detailing. It captures features required on real current F1 cars, including an open cockpit, front and rear wings, and the raised airbox above the driver's head. Behind the cockpit, a mock V6 engine moves visible pistons whenever the finished model is pushed along by its rear wheels, giving an otherwise static build a small working mechanism to demonstrate.

Orange covers most of the bodywork and front wing as the dominant team colour, with blue picking out the airbox, sidepods and rear wing, and black used across tyres, floor and technical components.
