The Separatists' ground workhorse

The AAT first rolls into view in The Phantom Menace, gliding across the grasslands of Naboo towards the Gungan army. It later became a regular sight in The Clone Wars animated series, where it fights on the Separatist side again and again. Its design is easy to recognise: a wide, low hull that narrows to a point at the front, topped by a turret with a long main cannon. It hovers rather than running on tracks, which gives it a look unlike any real-world tank.
