Description
Two elements, one job
With only two different elements in the whole set, there is not much to the build, and that is the point. The base exists to hold three minifigures upright and together, turning a handful of loose figures into a tidy display. Assembly takes a minute or two. If you are the kind of collector who wants figures on show rather than in a box, a set like this does exactly what it needs to and nothing more, leaving the minifigures as the only real focus.
Smallest of the six
Across the six Collectible Display Sets from 2009, this one has the lowest piece count. Sets 1 and 3 have 16 pieces each, sets 5 and 6 have 17, and set 4 reaches 30. At 13 pieces and two unique elements, set 2 is the leanest of them all. For completists that makes it the quickest to verify, and for anyone comparing the series it shows how much variation exists within what looks like a uniform range.
Grey with a green glow
Light bluish grey and trans-neon green are the only main colours listed. The grey stays in the background while the transparent green supplies all of the brightness. Trans-neon green also appears in Display Set 1, but there it shares the stage with trans-purple and black, so the two sets remain easy to tell apart. On a shelf alongside the rest of the series, set 2 is recognisable by that single vivid accent and its compact footprint.
