How a proposal becomes a set

Builders upload their own projects to the platform and ask other fans for support. Once a design gathers 10,000 supporters, it enters a formal review, and a small number are chosen, reworked by professional designers and released with the original creator credited. The programme began in partnership with the Japanese site CUUSOO and was renamed LEGO Ideas in 2014. This theme covers both eras, running from 2011 up to 2026, and new sets continue to join it. Early releases tended to be modest in size, but the range has grown steadily.
