The everyday side of City

Not every City set involves an emergency. The Traffic subtheme collects the ordinary life of the town: cars on their way to work, lorries making deliveries, mechanics fixing a flat tyre and buses picking up passengers. Many sets are single vehicles with a driver, but the range also includes garages, service stations and whole town centres. Because these models are not tied to a particular storyline, they are easy to mix with any other part of City. The minifigures reflect that range too: bus drivers, mechanics, delivery staff and shoppers.

Town squares on a grand scale

The largest sets are complete street scenes. City Square (60097-1) from 2015 has 1,683 pieces and is the biggest set in the subtheme. Capital City (60200-1) from 2018 follows with 1,211, and the earlier Town Square (60026-1) from 2013 has 918. Each combines buildings, vehicles and a crowd of minifigures, so a single box already gives you a small neighbourhood.

Garages, fuel and public transport

Workshops are a recurring idea. Garage (7642-1) from 2009 has 958 pieces, City Garage (4207-1) from 2012 has 938, and Service Station (60132-1) from 2016 has 515. Public Transport (8404-1) from 2010 brings 864 pieces of buses and stops, while Car Transporter Truck with Sports Cars (60408-1) from 2024 is a 998-piece lorry with its load.
