They also turn up regularly in animated series such as Rebels. If you are building a small collection of Star Wars ships, a TIE is close to essential, and this compact version is an easy way to add one without taking up much room.

The 42 pieces are drawn from 20 different elements. About half are one-offs; the rest repeat, as you would expect from a ship with two matching wings. That gives the set a little more variety than some other micro TIEs, while keeping the build short. Where the yellow comes in

Light bluish grey, black and dark bluish grey make up the first three main colours, and they match the familiar look of a TIE fighter. The fourth is yellow, which is unusual for an Imperial set.
