Description

Hoth, reimagined in red

The Last Jedi deliberately echoes The Empire Strikes Back. Once again, a small band of rebels is trapped in a remote base, and once again giant walkers march towards them across a white plain. This time the planet is Crait, where the white surface is salt and every footstep or blast throws up bright red dust. The First Order's heavy walkers are brought in to break open the Resistance's fortress door, and they dominate the battle scenes.

Knuckles first

These walkers look quite different from the Imperial AT-AT. They lean forward onto massive front legs, giving them a hunched, almost ape-like posture that makes them instantly recognisable. A 54-piece model can only suggest that shape, but the forward lean remains the defining feature. The build is short and suitable for younger fans, and the finished walker makes a compact opposite number for small Resistance ships on a shelf or desk.

Greys, black and a touch of red

Dark bluish grey leads the colour list, followed by light bluish grey and black, with trans-red as the only bright accent.
