Description

Folding wings, instantly recognisable

The Imperial shuttle is one of the most elegant designs in the original trilogy. A tall central fin rises above the cockpit, flanked by two wings that fold upwards when the ship lands. That shape is so clear that it translates well into a small model, which is exactly what the early mini range set out to do. The 82 pieces include 38 unique elements, giving the build enough variety to capture the shuttle's angles without needing a large footprint.

Used by both sides

In Return of the Jedi, the Emperor arrives at the second Death Star aboard a shuttle of this type, and Darth Vader travels in one too. Later, the Rebels use a stolen shuttle to slip past the Imperial fleet and land on Endor, where they aim to destroy the shield generator. The same ship therefore carries both the Empire's leaders and the Rebel strike team, which gives even a mini model an interesting story to tell.

White with transparent highlights

White is the most common colour, followed by light bluish grey. Trans-yellow and trans-light blue add a couple of bright highlights that stand out in a model this small. Transparent pieces are always useful for builders, ideal for lights, windows, engines and screens in your own designs. The white and grey elements, meanwhile, suit almost any spacecraft, so the set makes a handy little donor if you ever decide to take it apart.
