Unlike the large display versions that came later, this Hogwarts is designed first and foremost as a playset. Eleven minifigures give children and fans a full cast of students, teachers and castle residents to act out lessons, duels and late-night wanderings through the corridors. The model belongs to the generation of sets released alongside the final films, and at 1,291 pieces it was a substantial model for its day. It still makes a satisfying centrepiece for a collection.

Stone and shadow

Tan is the most common colour, followed by Reddish Brown, Dark Bluish Grey and Black. The result is the sandstone-and-slate look of an old castle, warm at its base with darker accents above.
