Description

A fighter without a pilot

Separatist forces rely on droids, and the tri-fighter is one of their automated starfighters. It has no cockpit, just a central body with three arms spread out in a star shape. In Revenge of the Sith it attacks in groups, giving the space battle much of its chaotic feel. That distinctive silhouette is ideal for a small set, because even a compact model is instantly recognisable as part of the droid army from the final prequel film.

Symmetry makes the build

Only 37 of the 148 pieces are unique. That low number comes from the design itself: three identical arms mean you build the same assembly three times.
