Description

Crowding the corridors

Anyone who has built part of the Death Star knows the problem: grey corridors and control rooms look empty without people in them. Four minifigures go a long way towards fixing that, and because battle packs are designed to be combined, several copies can staff a hangar or command deck convincingly. The 100-piece build is brief, so the figures are ready for duty almost immediately. Children gain Imperial opponents for their rebels, while collectors get the extras their dioramas were missing.

The station in A New Hope

The Death Star dominates A New Hope. Leia is held prisoner aboard it, Luke, Han and Chewbacca sneak through its corridors to rescue her, and Obi-Wan disables its tractor beam before his duel with Darth Vader. Throughout those scenes, Imperial personnel are everywhere, from officers in control rooms to troops guarding the hangars. A second Death Star is later built in Return of the Jedi, so figures like these fit scenes from both films.
