More than its size suggests

Of the 105 pieces, 45 are unique elements, a healthy mix for a battle pack. The build is short but does not feel repetitive, and the four minifigures give you a ready-made squad for play or display. Younger builders can finish it in one sitting and move straight on to their own stories. Collectors, meanwhile, can drop the figures into an existing Clone Wars line-up. Buying several copies is a common way to expand a battle pack into a bigger force for larger scenes on the shelf. The pack also makes a good companion for a gunship or walker, filling the space around a vehicle with extra figures.

Where the war began

Geonosis is a harsh, rocky world where the Separatists have their droid armies built. At the end of Attack of the Clones, the Republic's new clone army lands there for the first time, and the battle that follows opens the Clone Wars. The planet returns later in The Clone Wars animated series, too. A pack tied to this setting is an easy way to bring one of the prequel era's key locations into your collection, especially alongside gunships and walkers from the same period. Geonosis is also a rewarding subject for dioramas, since rocky terrain and spires can be built from almost any spare bricks.

Cool colours for a hot planet

Interestingly, the main colours are dark bluish grey, light bluish grey, trans-dark blue and black, with none of the desert tones associated with the planet itself.
