Description

The man behind the clones

Attack of the Clones reveals that the Republic's clone army on Kamino has been grown from one template: Jango Fett. Armoured, helmeted and equipped with a jetpack, he is a formidable bounty hunter who takes on Obi-Wan Kenobi in the rain on Kamino and later over the asteroid field of Geonosis. Part of his payment is an unaltered clone he raises as his son, Boba. Jango's story ends in the arena on Geonosis, where he falls to Mace Windu.

Flat silver in front

Flat silver tops the colour list, followed by light bluish grey, dark bluish grey and black. That metallic lead colour is unusual: most Star Wars sets are dominated by greys, black or white, with silver used sparingly. Here it gives the figure a distinct look among other buildable figures. For builders, flat silver parts are handy for machinery, robots and technical detailing, and they are not easy to collect in quantity from typical sets.

Posing and play

Of the 85 pieces, 44 are unique elements, so the build offers a healthy range of shapes. The figure is assembled limb by limb and ends up much larger than a minifigure, which is why none are included. Once finished, it can be posed mid-fight or stood on a shelf. Next to a clone trooper figure or another bounty hunter, it creates a small Attack of the Clones scene without needing a large vehicle or playset.
