The other side of the snow

Starkiller Base, the icy planet turned superweapon, provides the setting for the finale of The Force Awakens. First Order forces patrol its snowy forests, some of them in speeders built for the conditions. The name recalls the Rebel snowspeeder from The Empire Strikes Back, but this craft serves the opposing side. For collectors of the sequel trilogy it is one of the less obvious vehicles, which makes it a good addition to a Starkiller scene.

Cold colours

Light bluish grey, dark bluish grey, black and white make up the main colours in the parts list. The palette fits both the frozen landscape and the clean, severe look of the First Order. One minifigure is included, so the speeder has a driver from the start. Pair it with Resistance figures from your collection and you have the makings of a chase across the snow, ideally on a white baseplate if you have one to spare.

More variety than expected
