Grievous' bodyguards

Tall, cloaked and armed with electrostaffs, the MagnaGuards first appear alongside Grievous in Revenge of the Sith and are dangerous enough to trouble even Jedi. They also turn up in the animated world of The Clone Wars. This set gives them a starfighter of their own, adding a lesser-known craft to the Separatist side. For collectors who already have the droid tanks and tri-fighters, it fills out the fleet with something a little different.

Part of the 2008 wave

In 2008, The Clone Wars arrived as a film and an animated series, and a new range of sets followed its look. This starfighter belongs to that wave. With two minifigures, it is ready for small skirmishes, and it makes a sensible opponent for Republic gunships and Jedi fighters from the same period.
