The attack shuttle's role in The Clone Wars is to move clone troopers, Jedi and cargo into combat zones, and it appears on various missions throughout the series. It is a less famous design than the ships from the films, which is precisely why it appeals to fans of the animated show who want their Republic fleet to reflect the wider range of craft the series introduced.
