Naboo's pilots use these fighters to defend their planet against the Trade Federation's droid army. During the climactic battle of Episode I, a young Anakin ends up in one by chance and flies it into the enemy control ship, destroying it and shutting down the droids on the ground. With its long, pointed body and engines on either side, the fighter has a graceful look that contrasts sharply with the angular Imperial ships of the later films.
