Armour for the droid army

The Trade Federation's Armoured Assault Tank is a heavy repulsorlift vehicle with a long main cannon and a broad, low hull. In The Phantom Menace, rows of AATs advance across the grassy plains of Naboo towards the Gungan army, their shots unable to break the Gungans' energy shield until the droids march through it on foot. The tanks return during the Clone Wars as a standard Separatist vehicle. Their distinctive shape, part hovercraft and part battering ram, makes them instantly recognisable.

Twenty-three different parts

The set packs 23 distinct parts into 37 pieces, which means at least nine part types appear only once. For a mini model, that is a generous variety of shapes, and the build rarely repeats itself.
