The ship they did not take

When Rey, Finn and BB-8 run from the First Order across Niima Outpost in The Force Awakens, their first choice of escape is a Quadjumper. Before they reach it, a TIE fighter strike destroys it, leaving them with the ship Rey had dismissed as garbage: the Millennium Falcon. That brief moment gives the Quadjumper its place in Star Wars history. With four large engines and a practical, workmanlike shape, it looks more like a space tug than a warship, which makes it stand out among small Star Wars sets.

A workhorse in dark orange

Light bluish grey and dark bluish grey lead the colour list, followed by dark orange and black. Dark orange is not a common shade in small Star Wars sets, and it gives this one a warm, weathered feel that fits the scrapyard atmosphere of Jakku. For builders, that colour is worth having: it works well for rust, wood and desert scenes and can be hard to collect in quantity. The greys and black, as always, slot into almost anything.
