Description
Talker
C-3PO is one of the few characters who appears across all nine films of the Skywalker saga, from The Phantom Menace to The Rise of Skywalker. Built by a young Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine, the golden protocol droid is fluent in over six million forms of communication and rarely short of a complaint. His partnership with R2-D2 runs through the entire story, and his nervous commentary has become as recognisable as any line of dialogue in the films. Few droids in the galaxy are better known.
Walker
The Gonk droid, properly a GNK power droid, is a boxy machine on two stubby legs that acts as a mobile battery for other equipment. Its nickname comes from the low honking noise it makes as it plods along. One can be seen among the droids the Jawas offer for sale at the Lars homestead in A New Hope, and the design has turned up as a background figure in many later films and series. It rarely does anything dramatic, yet fans have grown surprisingly fond of it.
