The droid that rolls in

Droidekas, or destroyer droids, make a memorable entrance in The Phantom Menace. They roll into a room as tight wheels, unfold into three-legged gunners in an instant and raise a personal energy shield that blaster fire cannot break. Even Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi decide retreat is the better option. The droids return throughout The Clone Wars in the service of the Separatists, and their transformation from wheel to weapon has made them one of the saga's most recognisable designs.
