The gunship is how the Republic's clone troopers get to the fight. Its debut comes at the climax of Attack of the Clones, when a fleet of them descends on Geonosis to rescue the Jedi trapped in the arena. In The Clone Wars animated series it appears in battle after battle, ferrying troops through open side doors and providing heavy fire from above. A model of 59 pieces cannot show every cannon, but it captures the broad body and wings that make the craft so familiar.
