About Alien Conquest
A B-movie invasion in brick form
Alien Conquest is a sub-theme of Space, but unlike most of its siblings it takes place on our own planet. The invaders arrive in saucers and walking tripods, and the Alien Defense Unit, or ADU, responds with ground vehicles, aircraft and a fortified base. The look borrows openly from classic science-fiction films, which gives the range a playful, retro feel. It ran for a single year, making it a compact and clearly defined group of models.
What each set brings
Earth Defense HQ (7066-1) is the flagship with 879 pieces, giving the defenders a base to operate from. Alien Mothership (7065-1) has 416 pieces and Jet-Copter Encounter (7067-1) 375. UFO Abduction (7052-1, 211 pieces) and Tripod Invader (7051-1, 166 pieces) put the invaders centre stage. The smaller boxes, Alien Defender (7050-1, 105 pieces) and Alien Striker (7049-1, 42 pieces), plus the ADU Walker (30140-1, 34 pieces), make simple starting points.
