About Spyrius
A red-and-black faction
Launched in 1994 as part of the Space theme, Spyrius played the role of an antagonist group intent on espionage. Its look is easy to spot: red and black hulls, trans-blue canopies and plenty of robotic designs. Most of the 9 sets appeared in 1994, with smaller releases following afterwards and the recorded range extending to 1999.
Highlights by size
Robo-Guardian (6949-1) leads with 367 pieces, a large walking robot. Lunar Launch Site (6959-1) adds a ground base with 288 pieces, and Saucer Centurion (6939-1) offers a flying saucer with 222. Recon Robot (6889-1) at 136 pieces is a smaller take on the robot idea. Among the compact models are Saucer Scout (6835-1), Spyrius Fold-Wing Spacecraft (1843-2) and the 23-piece Surveillance Scooter, which appears twice in the list under 1714-1 and 1954-1.
