The two editions
Castle Advent Calendar 2008 (7979-1) contains 176 pieces and ties in with the Castle range of that time. In 2010 it was followed by Castle Advent Calendar 2010 (Kingdoms) (7952-1), with 167 pieces and a link to the Kingdoms line that was on sale that year. Both are filed under Advent, part of Seasonal, and together they capture two different phases of Castle within three years. The small builds and minifigures sit comfortably next to a castle layout and add a wintry touch to it, and each calendar's parts list makes it easy to check whether a used copy is complete.
