One edition stands out
Friends Advent Calendar 2018 (41353-1) is the heavyweight of the series at 500 pieces, a full 130 more than the runner-up. That second place goes to the 2021 calendar (41690-1) with 370 pieces, followed by 2019 (41382-1, 330 pieces) and 2022 (41706-1, 312 pieces). More recent years are a little smaller: the 2024 edition (42637-1) has 272 pieces and Friends Advent Calendar 2025 (42668-1) has 237. Two early calendars also make the top eight, 2015 (41102-1) with 252 pieces and 2014 (41040-1) with 244.
What you get behind the doors
Like other Advent calendars, the Friends editions hide a small build, an accessory or a mini-doll figure behind each door, all drawn from the world of Heartlake City. By Christmas the pieces add up to a little festive scene. In the catalogue the calendars form a sub-theme of Advent within Seasonal, so they are kept apart from the regular Friends sets.
