About Dino Attack / Dino 2010
Capture or combat
The line appeared in two versions. Dino 2010 was about catching the creatures with nets, claws and cages, while Dino Attack gave the vehicles weapons and set them against mutant dinosaurs. You can still tell the two apart by the set names: titles with vs., such as T-1 Typhoon vs. T-Rex, belong to the combat version, while names like Dino 4WD Trapper point to the capture version.
From buggies to aircraft
Dino Air Tracker (7298-1) is the largest model at 721 pieces, ahead of T-1 Typhoon vs. T-Rex (7477-1) with 608. Dino Track Transport (7297-1) has 366 pieces and Dino 4WD Trapper (7296-1) 283. In the middle of the range sit Iron Predator vs. T-Rex (7476-1) with 279 and Fire Hammer vs. Mutant Lizards (7475-1) with 259 pieces. Urban Avenger vs. Raptor (7474-1) with 87 pieces and Dino Buggy Chaser (7295-1) with 83 are the small entry points. All of these were released in 2005.
