None of the models reaches 100 pieces. The biggest is Batman & Robin (PAB4-1) from 2012 with 96, and the eight largest all fall between 50 and 96 pieces. That makes Pick A Model a good match if you like quick builds or want small display pieces that do not need much shelf space. Most can be finished in a few minutes, and they are small enough to sit on a desk or windowsill without getting in the way.

The subjects

The range mixes well-known characters, landmarks, animals and vehicles. Alongside Batman & Robin there is Surfer (PAB7-1) from 2012 with 70 pieces. The later sets include Truck (3850012-1, 66 pieces), Statue of Liberty (3850011-1, 58) and Turtle (3850013-1, 50) from 2016, followed in 2017 by Dragon Coaster (Ollie) (3850070-1, 58), Digger (3850017-1, 56) and Beaver (3850016-1, 52). Animals and construction vehicles feature heavily among the 2016 and 2017 entries, subjects that translate well to a small parts count.

Numbering and collecting

The 2012 models use short codes starting with PAB, whereas the later ones have seven-digit numbers beginning with 385. If you are trying to track down all 32, both numbering styles are worth knowing when you search. Parts lists are available on every set page.
