From a 31-piece ship to a full harbour
The Harbour Scene (364-1) from 1975 is the reason to look at this sub-theme. With 516 pieces it is a big set by any 1970s standard and lays out a working waterfront in a single box. Alongside it are two small vessels: the Cargo Ship (616-1) from 1976 with only 31 pieces, and the Hovercraft (663-1) from 1977 with 61. Few Legoland sub-themes show such a gap between their largest and smallest entries. The three models also sit comfortably next to the Coast Guard Station, the other maritime set of the period, and the parts lists help you work out whether your own collection could cover them.
