Patrols and helicopters
The smaller sets carry most of the everyday policing. Police Patrol with Policemen (659-1) from 1975 and Police Units (445-1) from 1976 each contain 49 pieces. The Police Helicopter, 39 pieces, closes the range in 1977 and is listed under two numbers, 618-1 and 628-2. These are brief builds, but they give the town a visible police presence on the road and in the air.
The headquarters and the heliport
The largest model is the Police Headquarters, a 300-piece building from 1976 that appears as both 370-1 and 585-1. Before that, the sub-theme's first big set was the Police Heliport (354-1) from 1972, and a Heliport (560-2) with the same 170 pieces followed in 1973.
