About Ninja
The 1998 wave
The first year produced the most ambitious builds. Flying Ninja Fortress (6093-1) is the largest set in the theme at 698 pieces. Stone Tower Bridge (6089-1) follows with 410 pieces, and Robber's Retreat (6088-1) gives the villains a base of their own with 281. Smaller entries from the same year include Samurai Stronghold (6083-2, 198 pieces) and Ninja Surprise (6045-1, 112 pieces). Each set pairs a building with its defenders or attackers, which gave the line a strong play focus from the start.
New sets in 1999
The second year added Emperor's Stronghold (3053-1) with 335 pieces, Ninja Fire Fortress (3052-1) with 173 and Blaze Attack (3051-1) with 145. Across both years, the designs share a recognisable look: curved roofs, timber structures, gates and hidden features that suit play as much as display.
