About Clikits
A craft line
Clikits took a different approach from almost every other theme. Its core pieces were small decorative elements such as flowers, hearts and stars, designed to click onto frames, bands and boards. With them you could make bracelets, hair accessories, picture frames, boxes and wall decorations. The emphasis was on personal design rather than following one set of instructions, and the line was aimed mainly at children who enjoy arts and crafts.
Largest sets
Ultimate Design Studio (7513-1) from 2003 leads the range with 285 pieces, closely followed by Holiday Decoration Kit (10135-1) from 2004 with 282. Next come My Special Storage Space (7532-1, 190 pieces) and The Ultimate Jewelry Collection (7531-1, 152 pieces), both from 2004. Pretty in Pink Beauty Set (7527-1, 136 pieces) arrived in 2005, and Totally Tropical Decor Set (7549-1, 132 pieces) in 2006, towards the end of the line.
Room decor and frames
Decorating a bedroom was a recurring idea. Cool Room Decor (7517-1, 133 pieces) and Cool Room Frames (7519-1, 131 pieces), both from 2003, are typical of the early range. Most other sets were smaller packs that added extra elements or themed designs, so they combine well with each other. Because every set used the same clip system, elements from one pack could be moved freely onto frames or bands from another, which encouraged mixing and redesigning.
