About Hospital
Medical emergencies in City
Next to the fire brigade and the police, the hospital completes the emergency services of a City town. Its sets show ambulances heading out on calls, helicopters flying rescue missions and hospital buildings where patients are treated. Accessories such as stretchers, wheelchairs and examination equipment recur throughout, together with minifigures dressed as doctors, nurses and paramedics. The subtheme appears less often than Fire or Police, which keeps it to 23 sets over two decades. White and red dominate the colour scheme, with blue warning lights on most vehicles, so the sets are easy to pick out on a shelf.
The hospital buildings
Three dedicated hospitals appear in the list. Hospital (7892-1) from 2006 has 386 pieces, City Hospital (60204-1) from 2018 grows to 861 pieces and is the largest set in the subtheme, and Hospital (60330-1) from 2022 follows with 816. The later buildings stack several floors and treatment rooms, so they work as a focal point on a larger layout.
Rescue from the air
Aircraft play a big part here. Rescue Helicopter (7903-1) from 2006 has 249 pieces, Helicopter Rescue (4429-1) from 2012 has 425, and Emergency Rescue Helicopter (60405-1) from 2024 has 226. In 2025 an aeroplane joined them: Emergency Air Ambulance Airplane (60465-1), with 403 pieces. On the ground, Ambulance (4431-1) from 2012 is a compact 199-piece option.
