The first wave paired pop culture with fine art. The Sith (31200-1) arrived with 3,406 pieces and Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe (31197-1) with 3,341. Later sets built on the same idea, turning film franchises, comics and music icons into brick portraits, such as Harry Potter Hogwarts Crests (31201-1, 4,249 pieces), Jim Lee Batman Collection (31205-1, 4,167 pieces) and Elvis Presley – The King (31204-1, 3,445 pieces). Several of these sets let you build more than one design from the same pieces, so the picture on the wall can be changed later.
The World Map
One set stands apart. World Map (31203-1) from 2021 has 11,695 pieces, almost three times as many as any other Art set. Most of those are tiny elements laid out to show the continents and oceans, which makes it a long project best spread over several sessions. It remains one of the sets with the highest piece counts of any kind.
Shared projects and classic paintings
Art Project - Create Together (21226-1) from 2021 takes a different approach: 4,138 pieces meant for a group to build one large picture together. The line also reaches into art history with Gustav Klimt – The Kiss (31221-1), dated 2026 with 4,000 pieces. It shows that the theme is not limited to film and music but also takes on well-known works from museums.
