Description

A townhouse with European flair

The facade combines light grey tones with white window frames and black details, set off by olive green accents on awnings and plants. That mix of styles evokes a classic Parisian street and visually sets the set apart from the more American-styled buildings elsewhere in the Modular Buildings series. As with every set in the series, the facade opens up to reveal the full interior. Small touches such as wrought-iron-style railings, a canopy and shutters reinforce the European character further. Seen from outside, the building reads quite differently from its more American-styled neighbours in the range.

Three floors, packed with detail

The ground floor houses the restaurant the set is named for, with tables, a counter and a kitchen, while the upper floors are furnished as flats with their own decor. The 5 minifigures split between diners, staff and residents, making it possible to play out several small everyday scenes at once, from dinner service downstairs to life in the flat above. Each floor has its own distinct character, so the building reads like three small, connected scenes stacked on top of each other. That clear separation also makes it easier to rebuild or redecorate individual rooms on their own.
