Description

Two stages, just like the real module

The real Eagle separated into two stages during the mission, and this model follows the same logic, splitting into a descent stage with folding landing legs and an engine, and an ascent stage housing the crew cabin. That separation isn't just for looks: it mirrors how the actual lander left its lower half behind on the Moon and returned to orbit using only the upper stage. It's a more functional build than a typical static display model of comparable size. Anyone familiar with the mission's history will recognise several of these details as soon as the two stages come together.

Gold foil, recreated in plastic

Metallic gold sits alongside light bluish grey, dark bluish grey and black as one of the set's main colours, standing in for the real descent stage's distinctive gold foil insulation.
