A piece of railway history

The Crocodile locomotives of the Swiss Federal Railways rank among Europe's most recognisable electric engines, running mainly on Alpine routes from the 1920s through to the 1990s. Their name comes from the long, articulated hoods and the distinctive silhouette that resembles the animal. The LEGO® model, built from 1,279 pieces, captures that unmistakable shape, including the characteristic articulated joint between the locomotive sections. The real engine ran chiefly over the Gotthard line and remains one of the most photographed historic locomotives in Switzerland.
