Before the AT-AT

The All Terrain Tactical Enforcer is the Republic's heavy walker, a low, armoured transport that moves on six legs rather than four. It makes its debut at the Battle of Geonosis in Attack of the Clones and returns in Revenge of the Sith as well as throughout The Clone Wars animated series. Seen in hindsight, it is an ancestor of the Imperial walkers of the original trilogy, and that connection gives it a particular appeal for fans who enjoy tracing the saga's history.
