Description

Starfighter of the Rebellion

The X-wing hardly needs an introduction. It is the ship Rebel pilots fly in the attack on the Death Star in A New Hope, and it remains a symbol of the Rebellion throughout the original films. Its four wings, which open into the X shape during combat, give it one of the most recognisable silhouettes in science fiction. This mid-sized model keeps the key features, including the red markings and four engines, in a form that holds up well to play.

Original versus later release

There is also a 4502-2 entry from 2004 with the same 564-piece count. The difference lies mainly in the figures: this original release includes three minifigures, the later one two. The number of distinct part designs is close as well, 179 here versus 182.
