Army building

Battle Packs exist for one reason: to let fans assemble a larger force without buying a big vehicle for every few soldiers. This one provides four minifigures, so a couple of copies already give you a respectable squad. The remaining pieces form a small build that gives the troopers something to do in play. For many children, that combination of figures first and bricks second is exactly the appeal, and it explains why Battle Packs were often bought in multiples.

The Clone Wars era

Clone troopers first appear in Attack of the Clones, fighting at the Battle of Geonosis, and return in Revenge of the Sith. Between the two films, the animated series The Clone Wars followed them across countless campaigns against the Separatist droid army. In 2011 the series was still running, and Republic troopers were among the most popular figures of the time. This set belongs to that period, and its colours reflect the look of the Republic's forces.

White first

White leads the parts list, followed by light bluish grey, black and dark bluish grey. Clone armour and Republic equipment of the era share that clean, light palette. Of the 85 pieces, 40 are unique elements, so the small build is varied without taking long. White parts are also worth keeping for your own projects, as many collections have far more grey than white, especially when it comes to spaceships or modern architecture.
