Description

Through the planet core

Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi need to reach Theed quickly, and the Gungans lend them a small submarine for the journey. With Jar Jar Binks at the controls, they take the shortest route straight through the watery heart of the planet, narrowly escaping one giant sea creature after another. It is one of the most memorable sequences in Episode I. Because almost every Star Wars vehicle travels through space or across land, an underwater craft adds real variety to a collection built around the saga.

Curves instead of panels

Gungan technology looks grown rather than manufactured, with rounded shapes and fin-like edges. Recreating that in bricks takes plenty of different parts, and the numbers show it: 135 distinct part designs across 466 pieces is a generous mix for a mid-sized set. You spend the build combining curves, slopes and sideways connections instead of stacking plates.
