About Town Plan
An anniversary tribute
The set was issued in 2008 to mark fifty years of the modern interlocking brick. Its name looks back to the Town Plan of the 1950s, the early play system that first presented bricks as a way to build complete streets and towns. The 2008 version turns that idea into a detailed street scene with several buildings, vehicles and minifigures. At 2,011 pieces it is far larger than any of the classic Town sub-themes.
