About Town
Where the rest of Town lives
Most of Town’s long history is spread across its sub-themes rather than this page. Classic Town covers the familiar fire stations, police cars and houses, while specialised lines added their own flavour: Paradisa brought seaside holidays, Divers went under water, Arctic headed for the polar ice and Outback took minifigures into the wild. Res-Q, Extreme Team, Launch Command, Race, Space Port, Town Jr., Town Plan, World City and City Center complete the list of 14.
Largest sets
City Airport (10159-1) from 2004 is the biggest set here at 914 pieces, and a version with a full-size image box is recorded separately as 10159-2. Main Street (10041-1) from 2003 follows with 640 pieces. After that the counts drop sharply: Breezeway Cafe (10037-1) has 195 pieces, Formula 1 Pit Stop (2554-1) 173 and Pizza To Go (10036-1) 151. Airshow (Red Tiger) (2774-1) and Aircraft and Ground Crew (2532-1) round off the list with 145 and 143 pieces. Main Street and City Airport show the move towards bigger buildings in the theme’s final years.
Handing over to City
The sets from the early 2000s mark the end of the Town name. From 2005, new town-themed sets appeared under City, which has continued ever since. Buying second-hand
