Pirates first appeared at the end of the 1980s and has returned several times since. The 2015 range, filed here as Pirates III under the wider Pirates theme, lasted a single year, which makes it one of the easiest pirate collections to complete. It keeps the familiar set-up of buccaneers against uniformed soldiers: a pirate ship and a treasure island on one side, a fort and an outpost on the other.
