Transparent Plates, Bricks, Toolholders (5128-1) from 1996 tops the list with 80 pieces. Small Plates with Tool Holders, Disks, Cones (5053-1) from 1993 follows with 76, and Plates, Small (5320-1) from 1999 has 66. Even with 504 entries, none of the packs reaches 100 pieces; they were meant to top up a collection, not to replace a full set. Plates and small elements such as tool holders, disks and cones dominate the upper end of the list.

The 1987 colour packs

A neat run of five packs appeared in 1987, each with 62 bricks in a single colour: Bricks, Red (5140-1), Bricks, Blue (5141-1), Bricks, White (5142-1), Bricks, Yellow (5143-1) and Bricks, Black (5144-1). They show how basic colours were sold to top up existing collections.
