About City
Buildings that anchor a layout
The largest City sets are no longer single vehicles but whole city blocks. Downtown (60380-1) from 2023 tops the list with 2,010 pieces, closely followed by The City Tower (60473-1) from 2025 with 1,943. Main Square (60271-1), released in 2020, has 1,517 pieces. Big builds like these give a layout a centrepiece around which smaller vehicles and buildings can be arranged.
Vehicles, adventure and racing
Not every large set is a building. The Volcano Heavy-Lift Helicopter (60125-1) from 2016 has 1,277 pieces and belongs to the volcano exploration sets of that year. In 2025 the F1 Truck with RB20 & AMR24 F1 Cars (60445-1) brought Formula One cars into City with 1,086 pieces, and 2026 added the Lava Land Roller Coaster Park (60501-1) with 1,165 pieces. Sets like these show how broad the theme has become beyond police and fire.
Seventeen sub-themes
Much of City is organised into sub-themes. Airport, Cargo, Coast Guard, Construction, Farm, Fire, Harbor, Hospital, Police, Traffic and Trains cover jobs and services, while Off-Road, Arctic, Jungle, Mars Exploration and Space head beyond the city limits. Stuntz focuses on stunt bikes and ramps. Each sub-theme has its own page with every set listed.
Growing a town over time
Because City has had new releases every year since 2005, collections tend to grow steadily. Bricoria’s parts lists show the contents of each set, which helps when you want to rebuild an older model from a mixed box of bricks. Building a town over the years also means collecting many duplicate basics such as road plates, windows and wheels. Once your sets are recorded, “What can I build?” shows which other City models your pieces could already cover.
