A short run on the Duplo rails

Based on the Railway Series books by the Reverend W. Awdry and the long-running television adaptation, Thomas & Friends was a natural fit for Duplo, the larger-brick system aimed at toddlers. The line lasted five years, and every set revolves around the engines and places of the Island of Sodor. Knapford Station, the sheds and Morgan's Mine all appear as small playsets, while the engines themselves are chunky, easy to push and easy to rebuild.

Engines, cranes and a controller

The Thomas Starter Set (5544-1) from 2008 is the biggest box with 82 pieces, followed by the Thomas Load and Carry Train Set (5554-1) from 2005 at 61 pieces. Spencer and Sir Topham Hatt (3353-1) brings the silver engine and the railway's famous controller together in 45 pieces.
