About Action Wheelers
A two-year run
Of the eight largest sets, five arrived in 2000 and three in 2001. The first wave included Helicopter (2909-1) and Radical Racer (2912-1), both with 17 pieces, plus Construction (2913-1) at 31 pieces. In 2001 the line added Speedbike (2947-1, 14 pieces) and RC Dozer (2949-1, 23 pieces). That short lifespan makes Action Wheelers one of the smaller Duplo sub-themes, and a manageable one to collect in full.
Rescue Base and MyBot
The largest set is Rescue Base (2914-1) from 2000, with 47 pieces, which works as a hub for the vehicles. MyBot (2916-1), at 32 pieces, is the odd one out: a robot rather than a vehicle. It received its own add-on in 2001, the MyBot Expansion Kit (2946-1), with 15 pieces. Having a robot and its add-on in a vehicle line is a little unexpected, but it gives the range a second focus beyond wheels.
