About Little Forest Friends
A woodland cast
The family packs name their characters after plants and fungi. The Toadstools (2831-1), The Strawberries (2830-1) and The Bluebells (2832-1) each came out in 1999 with 13 pieces, and The Meadowsweets (2825-1) followed in 2000 with 16 pieces. Tea with Bumblebee (1261-1, 13 pieces) and Lila, the Big Bluebell (2833-1, 35 pieces) add further characters to the mix. Collecting several families builds up a small woodland community.
Homes and play boxes
The Meadowsweet's' Home (2834-1), released in 1999 with 46 pieces, is the largest set and gives one family a house to live in. Almost as big is the Read, Listen and Play Box (2827-1) from 2000, with 45 pieces; its name points to reading and listening as part of the play, not just building.
